Lower back pain is a fairly common condition especially for people who are in their middle age.

Like in most medical cases, lower back pains can be serious or it could only be caused by a wrong sleeping position, prolonged sitting especially for people who work in offices or a bad posture. Having a big belly could also result to pain in the lower back. Unless, of course you suffered an injury that caused damaged to your back.

Dr. Michael Levine, a chiropractor of ChiroCare of Florida, told the Daily Express that you can minimize the risk of developing back pain by adding red grapes to your diet on a regular basis.

This, because the fruit contains resveratrol, a compound that is like an antioxidant which helps in relieving the pain in your back.

According to Levine, the resveratrol stops certain enzymes from contributing to tissue degeneration which could lead to cartilage damage. And, this damage to the cartilage is what leads to back pain.

Aside from red grapes, other fruits that also contain resveratrol are raspberries and cranberries. Red wine, because it is made from red grapes, is also rich with resveratrol, thus it can also help you in lowering your risk from having lower back pain.

Aside from grapes, you can also lower the risk of suffering from lower back pain by regularly drinking green tea.

The green tea contains antioxidants that can help in reducing inflammation. For some patients, their lower back pain is caused by inflammation.

However, as earlier said, there is also the serious lower back pain which could mean that you might be suffering a serious medical condition or disease. Experiencing pain in your back could be a result of cancer in the spinal cord, sciatica, kidney infection, ruptured or herniated disc, or infections of the spine.

Thus, if your back pain becomes unbearable, it might be best for you to visit a doctor.
