“Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 has yet to arrive and it is really taking a long time for Adult Swim to release the rest of the stories under the fourth installment. The fifth episode titled “Rattlestar Ricklactica” was aired in December and more than three months after, the next story is still nowhere to be found.
Infuriated fans called out Adult Swim
As months go by with no “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 yet, fans are starting to get really frustrated. They said that this is only part of a season and not even a separate installment and yet, Adult Swim can’t release the rest of the episodes.
Moreover, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, the show creators, already promised that there would be no long waiting time anymore starting from this installment but it turned out that they can’t fulfill this promise as well. It seems that they are stuck on “Rick and Morty” season 4, episode 5, so fans are already calling them out for not delivering what they wanted when it is already overdue.
“Slowly losing it's fan base because the writer cannot figure out how to continue the story,” one of the angry fans commented. “They gave us all of the filler episodes then left us out to dry.”
Another one said, “New episodes before we all die, please.” These comments could have pressured the studio and the series creators so they could be working round the clock now like the fans are wishing for.
New trailer
In a surprising response, Adult Swim released a 5-minute trailer on March 28. Probably, to appease the fans, the studio uploaded this clip that looks like a whole episode already. But then, it was only a trailer based on the description.
The video presented a unique theme which is anime-like. It was even titled “Samurai & Shogun” and featured Rick and Morty as the main characters. Could the production team plan a different theme for “Rick and Morty” season 4, episode 6? Perhaps, they will show an anime episode in “Rick and Morty” style and fans are already excited to see this.
Meanwhile, “Rick and Morty” season 4, episode 6, has no release date yet.
