Fans have been waiting for “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 for almost four months now and many are already frustrated for the long delay. The last episode titled “Rattlestar Ricklactica” was released in December and after it went on a break, the viewers thought that it was only like the regular holiday break that most series practice during Christmas seasons but they were utterly disappointed when all the shows have returned already except for “Rick and Morty.”
Release date
But then, at a time when people are already calling out Adult Swim and the showrunners for the delay and demanding for the next episodes to be released, a piece of good news has finally arrived. It was revealed that “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 has a premiere date already.
This is really something to cheer about. As per Gamespot, the rest of the five episodes that will begin with “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 will be on air on May 3 at 11:30 p.m. It was added that the episodes will be released once a week which means that the fourth installment will end on May 31. However, it is possible that it may conclude in June if there will be delays in the broadcast.
New trailer and what it suggests
While waiting for “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6, Adult Swim uploaded a 5-minute trailer nearly two weeks ago. It is likely that the studio shared this clip to appease the angry fans. The trailer is interesting as it featured anime-like scenes. In fact, it was titled “Samurai & Shogun” and the show creators - Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, affirmed that they are presenting something different and use the anime genre as inspiration.
It is not clear though if this is actually part of “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 or this could be a teaser only. In case it is the former, then fans who love the show as well as anime will really love this fusion. Fans are showing great interest in this clip but everyone has to wait for its return to see the connection between the video and the next episode.
Finally, as per Inverse, the trailer also suggests that evil Morty is coming back to provide the needed antagonist character in “Rick and Morty” season 4. It was added that although the evil Morty did not actually appear in the preview, there are clues that say, he will return for the remaining episodes of the fourth installment.
