After the announcement of the Galaxy S22 generation, Samsung is expected to unveil its next line of mid-range phones from the Galaxy A-series. And it appears that their launch could happen imminently as a new report claims to reveal “press renders” for the Galaxy A73.
The images appeared in a recent report on 91Mobiles. The publication calls the images as a “press shot” of Galaxy A73, which likely means it would be the same marketing images Samsung could use once it launches the Galaxy A73.
There is not much difference between the Galaxy A73 and its predecessor. The design in the supposed press renders also look exactly like the leak shared by Steve “OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer back in December. But this should be good news for Galaxy A-series fans who want to see thinner bezels on the upcoming mid-range phones.
The screen-to-body ratio appears to be the only major change in the Galaxy A73, though. The renders from both sources show that the phone would still have a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera on the top-center area of the display. The back shows the camera bump will also look the same as last year’s phone, with four sensors (three of them with metallic rings) and an LED flash. The volume rocker is still on the right side while the power button is placed below it.

This is the second Galaxy A73 leak to appear in the last few days. Galaxy Club recently spotted a benchmark result uploaded on Geekbench for a device with model number SM-A736B, which is believed to be the Galaxy A73. This led to speculations that the phone would be powered by the Snapdragon 778G, which would be a notable upgrade from its predecessor. The Geekbench information shows the test unit was using a chip with four cores clocked at 2.40GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.80GHz. It was running on Android 12 and 8GB RAM.
While the recent leaks hint at a possible launch soon, details about the Galaxy A73’s release date are still under wraps. But it is worth noting that the latest Galaxy A-series was unveiled by the end of the first quarter of 2021
