More reports are emerging online pointing at a much earlier retail launch for the Samsung Galaxy S21. The South Korean tech giant and its suppliers have reportedly started the mass production of components for the upcoming premium smartphone series making the rumored February 2021 retail launch seem more likely.
Samsung Galaxy S21 release date
Samsung and its suppliers have reportedly begun the production of Galaxy S21 parts “since last Wednesday,” per WinFuture’s Roland Quandt’s report published on Monday. The third-party manufacturers are said to be producing components that would later be shipped to factories in Vietnam and South Korea where Galaxy S21 would be assembled.
This production timeline is too early for Samsung. In previous years, the company typically announced the new Galaxy S series in the second half of February followed by a retail launch within the first week of March. The report on mass production of parts then adds to weight to previous predictions that Galaxy S21 will be announced and hit the shelves much earlier than its predecessors did.
There are indications that the Galaxy S21 series will be released earlier than in previous years.

More analysts and online leakers are also sharing information gathered from their sources that all point to an early launch for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. Long-time leaker Ice Universe reported in late October that protective case makers “have already completed” products for the Galaxy S21 to which display analyst Ross Young replied, “We are now hearing production from mid-December, so December launch looks unlikely. My guess would be right before or right after CES.” The CES 2021 will happen on Jan. 11-14, 2021 without in-person attendance.
A South Korean publication (via SamMobile) also reported about the likelihood of Samsung Galaxy S21 getting unveiled at an event in January 2021. This corresponds with an earlier report by another well-known leaker, Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks. A product announcement in January would mean the Galaxy S21 devices could arrive in stores as soon as the first half of February.

Another aspect of the Samsung Galaxy S21 that has been making headlines is its design. Samsung is expected to retain the camera back for the sensors on the back, but early leaked renders suggest the bump would be extended to the left edge. However, not much is expected to change for how the front side would look.
