Selena Gomez Health Update: Justin Bieber’s Ex Reportedly Completes Mental Health Rehab Program; Is She Okay Now?

Selena Gomez just came out of a rehabilitation facility after receiving treatment for her mental health, according to reports. And sources claim that the famous singer is already doing better.

One of the first reports came from E! News after an insider said Gomez feels “refreshed and is in a better headspace” following the rehab. However, the article has apparently been taken down from the publication’s website, as of this writing.

Meanwhile, Radar Online cited its own source that claimed Gomez has “benefited tremendously” from the treatment but she will not jump right back to work anytime soon. “She will still continue to work with therapists and a psychiatrist and is committed to making sure that she stays healthy both mentally and physically,” the same insider added.

TMZ also reported (via Vulture) that Gomez’s treatment from the psychiatric facility ran for a month where she had dialectical behavior therapy. The news source added that Gomez has opted to lay low “for a while.” TMZ’s piece has also been taken down from their website.

Last month, TMZ revealed that Gomez was brought to the hospital twice with the second time allegedly resulting in an “emotional breakdown.” The same article, published Oct. 10, confirmed the artist later checked into an East Coast psychiatric facility. Gomez’s latest emotional breakdown was purportedly caused by repeated issues of a low white blood cell count.

Earlier this year, Gomez was feeling positive about what could happen in 2018. She openly discussed her struggles with mental health issues and expressed positivity about facing it.

In an interview for Harper’s Bazaar conducted by “13 Reasons Why” star Katherine Langford, Gomez said, “I’ve had a lot of issues with depression and anxiety, and I’ve been very vocal about it, but it’s not something I feel I’ll ever overcome. ... I think it’s a battle I’m gonna have to face for the rest of my life, and I’m okay with that because I know that I’m choosing myself over anything else. I’m starting my year off with that thought.”
