USA Network's legal drama may be taking a break after the show's 10th episode but the show is leaving enough threads for fans to anticipate when it returns with “Suits” season 8 episode 11.
Both Samantha (Katherine Heigl) and Alex (Dule Hill) have pulled out all their tricks and trump cards by the end of the summer finale to win the coveted position of named partner for Zane Specter Litt. Fans may be as surprised as the two competitive lawyers that Samantha and Alex will be starting off “Suits” season 8 episode 11 with both their names on the wall.
While both Samantha and Alex got what they wanted, the characters' actors share the same feeling that the conflict between the two new named partners will be played up in the show's upcoming installment.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Katherine Heigl mentions that Alex and Samantha will definitely have a residual tension between them when “Suits” season 8 episode 11 returns. Heigl also mentions that Samantha will most likely focus on trying to figure out how exactly Alex cheated on her.
Dule Hill also concurs with Heigl's feelings by pointing out that the fact that Alex cheated to get ahead of Samantha in their contest for named partner will not easily be forgotten by any of the show's main characters. While Alex may have also become a named partner, fans can make the argument that he did not win this race now that the shadow of cheating looms over him.
Fans can also expect Sheila's (Rachael Harris) pregnancy to become a major complicating plot point after “Suits” season 8 episode 11. Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) can be expected to take things over the top once again as one of his cherished goals of becoming a father is close at hand. Whether the baby comes in the latter part of “Suits” season 8 has yet to be confirmed.
Fans looking forward to seeing how Samantha and Alex deal with the surprising decision by Louis to make them both named partners can catch “Suits” season 8 episode 11 when it returns sometime in early 2019.
Suits is about to get more Litt up than ever before.
