A new rumor suggests that Tom Cruise is planning to get back to his daughter Suri Cruise's life despite her mother Katie Holmes trying to distance the child from the “Mission: Impossible” actor. Allegedly, Suri has been sending letters and voicemails to her father, begging him to visit her.
The whispers began from OK! magazine (via Gossip Cop), which claimed that Tom Cruise even promised to leave the Church of Scientology for his daughter if the higher members forbid him from seeing her. It can be recalled that Tom’s involvement with Scientology is what reportedly caused his split with his ex-wife Katie Holmes and the alleged reason why Katie doesn’t want the actor near their Suri Cruise.
Katie Holmes’ fears are reportedly not unfounded as the church has been alleged in the past to have the power to separate families permanently. The last straw for Katie was when Tom Cruise allegedly decided to let members of the church into their home in Los Angeles where Suri Cruise could be exposed to the policies of the organization.
Now, it is claimed that Tom Cruise is ready to leave the church behind where he is a high-ranking member. An unknown insider of the tabloid said that Suri Cruise is growing up so fast and Tom feels he wants to be part of his daughter’s life. The “Top Gun” actor has been estranged from Suri for years as Katie Holmes allegedly doesn’t want him near their daughter, fearing the church would disconnect them like what happened to Nicole Kidman and her children.
Nicole is Tom Cruise’s ex-wife, and similar to what occurred between him and Katie Holmes, his involvement in the Church of Scientology reportedly caused their separation. After the split, the church allegedly managed to turn Nicole’s children against her, with her daughter opting not to invite the actress to her wedding even though they lived in the same city.
As for the new rumor, OK! magazine hasn’t provided any evidence regarding the claim, which makes this another one of the tabloid’s fabricated stories to gain attention. The situation involving Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their daughter Suri Cruise is a complicated matter and only close family members and acquaintances have real knowledge of what’s going on behind the scenes.
