There have been a lot of criticisms leveled at the “Sword Art Online” property, and with “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 1 airing soon, these comments have been coming up again. The biggest one is how Kirito will be entangled in yet another stupidly dangerous situation while playing a game. Then again, the newly released Alicization poster featuring Asuna and a new girl could explain the series’ return.
Following their experiences with the first “SAO” season, one would think that Kirito would stay away from gaming forever. However, the scheduled premiere of “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 1 proves that this is one protagonist who loves making bad decisions. As to what this season will be about, it’s basically the adaptation of “Project Alicization,” OtakuKart reports.
This is where Kirito is contracted by the company Rath to play another virtual game called “Underworld,” where one of the characters called Alice will be abducted. From there, the story spans numerous adventures to take back a lost friend. All the while, Rath is developing a technology that essentially captures a person’s memories. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 1 should explain this well enough.
“Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 1 has been rumored to lead to a total of 40 episodes for this season. The reason is that it will cover an entire arc, which would take a lot of screen time to properly adapt as an anime.
To help celebrate the upcoming premiere of “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 1, a new poster for the upcoming season was just released on Twitter. It features Asuna and the new character Alice looking quite close to each other. As Comicbook.com notes, Asuna might no longer be as popular as she once was, but her fandom is alive and well. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 1 will premiere on Oct. 7.
