“The Blacklist” season 6 is returning for another suspenseful run and it was confirmed that it would offer a total of 22 episodes. When it premieres, it is expected to address the mystery regarding Raymond “Red” Reddington’s (James Spader) identity.
While the production team rarely shares an update about “The Blacklist” season 6, various sources managed to gather some details and many of them are confirmed ones. One of these info includes the drama’s filming schedule that was revealed to have started late last year.
Some behind-the-scenes images of “The Blacklist” season 6 were also shared in August and fans were delighted to see them because they previously worried that the show has been canceled. Incidentally, the lack of update from the show was the thing that gave fans the idea that it will not return any more.
Now, as mentioned before, “The Blacklist” season 6 will tell more stories about Red. In season 5, Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone) discovered that the human bones in the bag were Raymond Reddington’s. This was a shocking discovery since the person who is supposed to be dead more than a decade ago is very much alive.
Liz and the rest of the team are working with Reddington but how could that happen if the bones’ DNA tests showed that he is already dead? This turn of events was how everyone got the idea that Red is an impostor and Liz is determined to find answers and uncover his real identity.
Moreover, Liz Keen’s hands will surely be full in “The Blacklist” season 6 because she also just found out that Red is also her father. She has many mysteries to solve and it appears that this will lead to many clashes with the criminal-turned FBI informer.
Aside from Boone and Spader, “The Blacklist” season 6 will also star Diego Klattehnoff (Donald Ressler), Harry Lennix (Harold Cooper), Hisham Tawfiq (Dembe), Susan Blommaert (Mr. Kaplan) and Amir Arison (Aram Mojtabai). Ryan Eggold who played Tom Keen will not be around as his character was already killed off in the fifth season.
“The Blacklist” season 6 was supposed to premiere in September or October this year but it was moved to January 2019. Additionally, the series’ schedule was also set to Friday nights as per Entertainment Weekly.
