“The Flash” season 5 is coming after the series was renewed, and it should be. The superhero action drama is a favorite and managed to remain as one of The CW's most popular. Fans simply love the new adventures that it presents every week so it is no wonder that it is on its 5th season now.
“The Flash” season 5 has not premiered yet but spoilers are abundant. Here are two major spoilers to look forward to in the next installment.
Caitlin Snow
Viewers may finally see Caitlin Snow’s (Danielle Panabaker) father as she may have to face him when her origin is unraveled in “The Flash” season 5. Moreover, she previously lost her Killer Frost powers because of The Thinker (Neil Sandilands) but now she might try to get it back and in doing so, she will discover something huge and it's part of her childhood.
At the recent San Diego Comic-Con, Danielle Panabaker confirmed that her character Caitlin Snow’s background will be explored more in “The Flash” season 5. She wants to know where her powers came from and this will lead her to trace her roots.
As she digs her history, this is when her father, Thomas, will finally be introduced. With the help of Cisco Ramon (Carlo Valdes), Caitlin Snow will learn that she has always had her powers since she was a child and this discovery shattered her belief that she is a metahuman who got her powers from the particle accelerator accident that gave the others their special abilities.
At any rate, in That Hashtag Show's exclusive report, Caitlin Snow’s father is described as a Caucasian in his 50s. He is a brilliant geneticist who has been missing for decades. The blog adds that when Dr. Snow returns to Central City, he will try to make it up to his daughter and wife, Carla Tannhauser (Susan Walters),.
But then again, the real purpose of Dr. Snow’s return is another reason to stay tuned to “The Flash” season 5. His arrival is mysterious and he might be keeping a major secret. A report from Express even suggests that he may have a connection with “The Flash” season 5 villain known as Cicada (Chris Klein).
Nora Allen
Season 4 ended with a mysterious visitor. Nora Allen appeared before Team Flash and introduced herself as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West’s (Candice Patton) daughter. She is also a speedster and she time-traveled to see her parents when they were younger.
Jessica Parker-Kennedy, who plays Nora, dropped a huge scoop for “The Flash” season 5. Speaking to Cinema Blend, she divulged that Nora takes after his father, Barry. They have a similar personality and shared that they are very close as father and daughter.
On the other hand, she revealed that her character is not as close to her mom. Jessica further pointed out that in season 4’s finale, viewers can see that something’s going on between Nora and Iris. Lastly, she explained that the invisible gap will be explained in “The Flash” season 5.
“The Flash” season 5 premieres on Oct. 9 on The CW.
