MADISON, Wis., Jan. 15, 2018 -- Widen announced today that the company was awarded The Codified DAM Consultant™ DAM Vendor of the Year Award 2017. As the top-ranked vendor, Widen excelled in cloud-based DAM, customer support, and the Ten Core Characteristics of a Digital Asset Management (DAM) System, an industry standard.
The Codified DAM Consultant launched in January 2018 with a metrics-based application that helps companies find their perfect DAM system. The app compares 35 accredited DAM vendors based on 300 variables. The Codified DAM Consultant was founded by Mark Davey, a DAM expert with over 20 years of experience in the space.
“Digital Asset Management is complex with a lot of moving parts,” said Davey. “The Codified DAM Consultant has simplified the process using a standards-based approach working solely with certified and accredited DAM vendors. It is metric-based and guided by deep domain expertise at a fraction of the cost of analysts and consultants.”
In the 2017 ranking, Widen earned the highest score for Cloud Proclivity and the second highest score for Customer Support. Widen also placed among the top five vendors for its scores across all 23 dimensions within the Ten Core Characteristics of DAM.
“The Ten Core has been a powerful framework for product development and innovation at Widen,” said Deanna Ballew, VP of Product Development at Widen. “We’re glad to see The Codified Consultant’s technical approach to evaluating vendors, and we’re honored to take the top spot this year.”
