Dr Julie Davies’s research and teaching interests lie in the areas of human resource strategy, professional development (particularly hybrid managers) and international higher education, http://www.hud.ac.uk/ourstaff/profile/index.php?staffid=1417. Her research has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Learning & Education, Management Learning, Management Decision and the Journal of Management Development.
Julie is a member of the Interdisciplinary Research on Management Education (IRonME) Group at Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics https://www.jyu.fi/jsbe/en/research/groups/ironme and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s membership and professional development committee. She co-chairs the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools’ membership working group and is on the international advisory board of IAE Lyon. Previously she was Deputy Chief Executive of the Association of Business Schools in London where she led the International Deans’ Programme. She taught for Cass Business School in China, the Open University in Russia and East Africa and at Birkbeck. Julie was a senior manager in UCL Chemistry, the School of Oriental and African Studies, City University, and she was seconded to the change management team in the National Health Service for the opening of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
