I have studied veterinary pathogens (canine parvovirus, feline coronavirus, and bovine viral diarrhea virus), simian and human immunodeficiency viruses, and pulmonary pathogens (hantavirus and RSV). My current research is focused on influenza viruses and how they cause severe lung injury. I also lecture on virology to veterinary and graduate students.
