I have a PhD in Animal Science from University of Stellenbosch, a Masters in Animal Science from University of Zimbabwe and a BVSc degree from University of Zimbabwe. I am currently working as a Senior Researcher in monogastric nutrition at ARC-Animal Production institute where I have been for the past 12 years. Prior to this I worked as a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, in the Faculty of Veterinary Science. Some of the major projects I have worked on in the past 10 years include; Increasing the productivity of developing pig and poultry farmers in the Gauteng Province through a pasture system; Improving the utilisation of soyabean meal from Biodiesel production in pigs and poultry diets and Evaluating the physiological, genetic and nutritional requirements of indigenous pigs in Southern Africa. I am a Member of South African Society of Animal Scientists am Registered as a Moderator and Assessor with AgriSETA and also with the South African Veterinary Council. I have successfully supervised PhD and Masters Students. I have published in refereed scientific publications in local and international journals and have presented in local and international conference proceedings. I am also a reviewer of local and international journals
