Medical Entomologist, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Chris Stone is a public health entomologist who studies the behavior, ecology, and life history of vectors. He is particularly interested in exploiting insights into the behavioral ecology of vectors to develop more effective and sustainable vector control methods, and in understanding how the environment shapes the distribution and abundance of mosquitoes, ticks, and the risk of exposure to the pathogens they transmit.
Chris received his PhD in entomology from the Ohio State University and his MS in population biology and BS in biology from Wageningen University. He directs the Medical Entomology Laboratory at the Illinois Natural History Survey, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
