Instructor in communication studies, arts advocacy, Carleton University
My doctoral research at Carleton focused on the communicative relationship between artists and elements of the Canadian cultural policy apparatus. I argue for a theory of performative advocacy that shines a light on the demonstrations of legitimacy that members of the art world perform before one another to allow art work to happen.
I hold a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship from SSHRC.
