Dr. Neyedli heads the Cognitive and Motor Performance Lab (CaMPLab) at Dalhousie University. The CaMPlab has three programs of research all related to human performance. The first program examines the influence of cognition on movement planning. Research in this area examines how what is commonly referred to as attention and decision making can influence and be influenced by our actions. Innovative techniques used in this stream include statistical decision-making theory and advanced statistical analysis of human movement trajectories. The second program, which builds on the first program of research, investigates cognition and performance in applied contexts. This program focuses on analyzing decision making and technology in military combat contexts and how technology influences sport performance. The third program focuses on neurological interventions to promote beneficial neuroplasticity. This research has focused on improving function following a stroke and most recently focusing on improving cognitive function in older adults. She haas been awarded over $2.5 million dollars in peer reviewed research grants as principal investigator or co-investigator and has published over 30 peer reviewed publications. She was awarded the Faculty of Health Early Career Researcher Award in 2019.
