Her research has been published in academic journals and in prestigious edited collections, and has received numerous awards. She is Editor of the International Review of Financial Consumers and a Senior Associate Editor of Journal of Risk and Insurance. She is a former President of the Risk Theory Society and former Director of the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs. She is a noted expert on insurance regulation and insurance fraud.
