After training as a physicist and carrying out research in astrophysics I spent 25 years teaching science, including 13 years leading secondary schools in Lincolnshire, before joining NTU. I am currently responsible for the school partnership work that supports teacher education at Nottingham Institute of Education, and look after the Masters courses in Education. Professional interests include school leadership and accountability, science education, and change management.
