Dr. Cesar R. Torres is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education at The College at Brockport, State University of New York. He specializes in the philosophy and history of sport. Torres is a former president of the International Association for the Philosophy of Sport (IAPS) and the founding president of the Asociación Latina de Filosofía del Deporte (ALFiD). He is also a fellow in the National Academy of Kinesiology and a recipient of the State University of New York’s Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities. Torres has been awarded the Warren P. Fraleigh Distinguished Scholar Award by IAPS.
