Asher Warren teaches and researches Theatre and Performance at the University of Tasmania. His recently completed doctoral thesis, 'Awkward Moment & Optional Electric Shocks: The Products and Politics of Intermedial Participatory Performance' explores contemporary participatory and interactive performance.
His current research interests include contemporary Australian performance, festivals, interactive and networked art, arts policy and funding, and new forms of contemporary spectatorship. He is also a member of the Performance Studies international Future Advisory Board (FAB).
