Austin, Texas, April 10, 2018 -- Alive + Well, Austin’s first and only integrated wellness center, today announced its innovative healthy living destination will open on April 16, 2018. Dedicated to promoting health through results-oriented techniques that treat the whole person, mind and body, Alive + Well cultivates integrated wellness by providing patient-centered care in an environment designed to ease collaboration for practitioners.
Within the 7,500 square foot center located at 3944 South Ranch Road 620 in Bee Cave, guests have access to a range of wellness services and practitioners including yoga, acupuncture, massage therapy, a functional and integrative medicine physician, a nutritionist, a dietitian, a compounding pharmacy, IV vitamin therapy, a float tank, infrared sauna and ionic foot bath therapy. The center also features Elle’s Cafe & Coffee, a fast casual restaurant serving gluten-free fare from a menu developed by chefs at Austin’s renowned Contigo and Chicon restaurants. Designed by Matt Fajkus Architecture, Alive + Well’s interior also includes an indoor wellness garden for guests to meet and socialize.

“In a world where people have to travel to see multiple, disparate health practitioners and then receive disconnected treatment approaches, Alive + Well is focused on restoring and preserving health by streamlining treatment and delivering long-term solutions that address our guests’ unique health and wellness concerns,” said Adam Metcalf, PharmD and founder of Alive + Well. “I’m looking forward to working with our team to cultivate a partnership with the Greater Austin community in support of healthy and mindful living.”
Alive + Well marks second generation pharmacist Metcalf’s third health and wellness venture in Greater Austin in the last four years. Aspiring to redefine the prevailing modern model of “sick care,” Metcalf launched Hill Country Apothecary in Lakeway in 2014. The vision for Hill Country Apothecary was to change the experience of going to a pharmacy and provide a wider range of customizable health and wellness services not typically offered at a traditional pharmacy. In 2016, Metcalf opened Drip Drop IV Vitamin Bar, bringing IV vitamin therapy to the Austin community. Both Hill Country Apothecary and Drip Drop IV Vitamin Bar are part of the
Alive + Well brand and will now be housed within Alive + Well’s comprehensive wellness center.
“Adam and his team understand the importance of addressing the mind-body connection in managing and treating systemic, underlying issues to sustain and invigorate health,” said founding member of Alive + Well and Lake Travis community leader Marybeth Kenis. “Access to an integrated wellness center where I can see multiple practitioners collaborating on my goals for holistic healthcare is a concept I fell in love with -- this opportunity to thrive is one I’m embracing wholeheartedly.”
