‘American Horror Story Roanoke’ season 6’s episode 10 is set to be the season finale that features the return of Sarah Paulson’s ‘Asylum’ character Lana Winters as she interviews Roanoke’s sole survivor, Lee Harris.
According to Parent Herald, the incoming episode will mark the return of Paulson’s ‘AHS: Asylum’ character Lana Winters. Paulson will have played a total of three characters this season at this point, including Audrey Tindall and Shelby Miller in “My Roanoke Nightmare.”
Lana Winters’ return to the series was previously teased by showrunner Ryan Murphy through his official Twitter account. In ‘Asylum’, Lana is a journalist who was committed to Briarcliff Manor under false pretenses in her attempts to uncover the establishment’s dark secrets. In the promo for episode 10, Lana is seen interviewing sole survivor Lee (Adina Porter) for a talk show.
Lee was revealed to be the final girl in the mass murder that was “Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell.” According to Vanity Fair, the incoming episode may follow Lee as she goes to court following her brutal murder of friend Monet (Angela Bassett) and the attempted murder of Audrey (Sarah Paulson), who still ended up dead anyway.
It is also possible that police will find the tapes that hold Lee’s confessions for killing her husband and burning his corpse. The tapes were previously found by Monet and Audrey.
According to the recap posted on The Hollywood Reporter, episode 9 followed Lee’s fight to survival under the influence of the forest witch Scathach (Alexandra Daddario). At some point in the epsidoe, she murders Monet as well as one of the young bloggers, Todd (Jacob Artist). She pushes Audrey down a storm cellar but the latter survives only to be shot by policemen in the end after threatening to pull a gun on Lee.
‘American Horror Story Roanoke’ season 6’s episode 10 is scheduled to air on FX on November 16, 2016. It was directed by Bradley Buecker and written by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
