Apple Unveils iPad Mini with A17 Pro Chip and Apple Intelligence
Today, Apple made an important announcement on the iPad mini, which includes the addition of compatibility for the company's new Apple Intelligence system as well as the inclusion of an A17 Pro chip. Not only does the updated tablet keep its tiny 8.3-inch shape, but it also offers significant upgrades in performance and additional capabilities.
Apple claims that the graphics processing unit (GPU) performance of the A17 Pro chip is 25% higher than that of the previous generation, while the central processing unit (CPU) performance is increased by 30%.
Per MacRumors, pressure sensitivity, haptic feedback, and gesture controls are some of the additional features that are included in the Apple Pencil Pro, which is now supported by the new iPad mini.
Enhanced Performance with A17 Pro Chip
Additional enhancements include compatibility for Wi-Fi 6E, a quicker data transfer rate via USB-C, and an enhanced wide-angle camera with 12 megapixels and True HDR 4 technology.
Improvements have been made to the authoring tools, image generating, and job automation capabilities that are offered by Apple Intelligence. A balance between performance and privacy is achieved by the system through the utilisation of both on-device processing and cloud-based models.
Apple Intelligence Elevates User Experience
Through a free software update that will be included with iPadOS 18.1, the initial set of Apple Intelligence features will be made accessible in English in the United States this month.
