Apple Watch 4 Predictions: Device Expected to Come with Bigger Display, Longer Battery Life

The Apple Watch has been around for more than three years now, and while it hasn’t sparked a smart wearable renaissance, it is arguably the top smartwatch in the market. With the first half of 2018 now done, rumors regarding the Apple Watch 4 have been circulating the web. Some of them come from proven sources, while others are more like wish lists than actual predictions.

Among the most credible sources of predictions regarding Apple products is Ming-Chi Kuo, a supply chain analyst. On top of telling investors to watch out for a 6.1-inch iPhone, he also noted that the Apple Watch 4 could have a bigger display, 9to5Mac recently reported.

Kuo has proven to be a reliable source of accurate forecasts with regards to things that Apple likes to keep under wraps. If he is right about the bigger display on the next Apple Watch, it would not be a surprise.

As to what the pronouncement might actually mean, Forbes recently noted that it wouldn’t be entirely surprising if the Cupertino firm decided to change things up a bit with its smartwatch. After all, the Apple Watch has been around for more than three years. Then again, the publication also noted that the display will most likely still be rectangular in shape with smooth, rounded edges.

In terms of what Kuo meant when he said that the watch would have a bigger display, it most likely means that the bezels will simply be reduced to allow for more screen. Even a 15 percent difference can seem like a lot, especially for those who don’t have the best eyesight.

Over at Komando.com, a list of features that the Apple Watch 4 might, or rather should, come with is provided. The publication notes how some reports indicate that the watch would come with MicroLED, which could lead to better battery life. The site also expects that the smart wearable would be unveiled around September, along with Apple’s new lineup of iPhones.
