Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) plans to introduce Apple Intelligence to its Vision Pro headset, adding AI-driven features like Writing Tools, Genmojis, and the Image Playground app. According to Bloomberg News, the update could arrive as early as April, with a beta version for developers expected this week.
This move comes as Apple intensifies its efforts to integrate artificial intelligence across its devices, aiming to stay competitive with tech giants like Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META). Reuters recently reported Apple's discussions with Tencent and ByteDance to incorporate their AI models into iPhones sold in China.
Priced at $3,499 in the U.S., the Vision Pro's sales have declined since its February 2023 launch, attributed to its high cost and competition from more affordable alternatives like Meta's Quest. The upcoming software upgrade, featuring Apple Intelligence, aims to enhance user experience and potentially boost sales.
Apple's push into AI reflects its broader strategy to innovate and meet growing consumer expectations. The new guest user mode and spatial content app for Vision Pro are part of this initiative, designed to make the device more versatile and appealing. Apple has yet to comment on the update.
By embedding AI into the Vision Pro, Apple seeks to offer cutting-edge technology that enhances productivity and creativity, addressing user demands in an increasingly competitive market. As the tech landscape evolves, Apple's AI ambitions highlight its commitment to leading the industry, providing advanced solutions to its global user base.
