Crédit Mutuel Arkéa said it could validate the order of magnitude of blockchain investigator ZachXBT’s estimate of more than $133 million in suspicious withdrawals, though its final loss remains under review.

ZachXBT flagged the withdrawals as suspicious. Arkéa said it could corroborate the estimate’s general scale but has not confirmed a final amount for the attack’s financial impact.

The bank said some funds may have been blocked and recovery efforts were continuing. It is working with judicial and police authorities to determine how the attack occurred.

Arkéa previously said customers’ assets were unaffected, although some transfers were delayed during security checks. Nearly all operations had resumed by the morning of Nov. 4. EconoTimes previously covered the bank’s statement on customer funds.
