CHICAGO, May 17, 2017 -- ArrowStream, Inc., a supply chain innovator that combines expertise in data science and analytics to improve the way supply chains perform, today announced that Jeff Dorr, Chief Customer Officer at ArrowStream, will moderate a panel session at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Supply Chain Management Executive Study Group on May 19, from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm CT in Chicago, IL.
The session, “Best Practices Discussion on Supply Planning & Executing of LTOs and Brand Programs,” will feature industry experts that represent the restaurant, distributor, and supplier vantage points. Participants include Scott Adams, VP of Strategic Supply & Initiatives at CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries; Krista Pohlman, Senior Director of Program Management, Wendy’s Quality Supply Chain Co-Op; Mitch Rader, Senior Vice President, Lineage Logistics; and Michael Snodgrass, Vice President of Sales, Griffith Foods.
“Limited time offers and promotions present many challenges in managing a foodservice supply chain,” said Scott Adams, VP of Strategic Supply & Initiatives at CraftWorks. “As multi-brand restaurant operators, CraftWorks seeks synergies that can drive savings in promotions, while also keeping brands individualized. It’s a delicate balance that I’m excited to discuss further with the panel and audience on Friday.”
Krista Pohlman, Senior Director of Program Management, Wendy’s Quality Supply Chain Co-Op, added, “Even as one of the largest brands in the industry, we still face many of the same challenges as large, medium, and small restaurant operators do with LTOs and promotions. Managing inventory levels and minimizing obsolescence requires excellent communication and synergy between brands, distributors, and suppliers. That core competency can solve many challenges we face in the supply chain, but especially with LTOs.”
“Customers have increasingly diverse needs and higher-than-ever expectations when it comes to menu options and product selection,” said Jeff Dorr, Chief Customer Officer, ArrowStream. “The pressure on brands to provide menu innovation that attracts both repeat and new customers is real, and that’s why limited time offers and promotions are so critical for restaurants right now. With so many brands modifying their strategies to run an increasing number of promotions, expecting flawless execution from distributors and suppliers isn’t always easy. We’ll be discussing these challenges and more with our panelists, so I expect a great session.”
The NRA Supply Chain Management Executive Study Group, an exclusive event that is designed to bring foodservice executives face-to-face with their colleagues to share cutting-edge ideas, will take place in Chicago on May 18-19. The sessions at the conference will focus on addressing topics such as commodity buying strategies, food safety, cost management, and promotions.
