Asian markets marginally higher, gold hits fresh 2-week low at $1,183

All the major Asian indices were trading on a higher note on the last trading day of the week. Gold remains well supported below $1,200 mark and trading around $1,183 levels. On the other side, Silver was trading around $16.70 marks.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 0.25 percent higher at 19,448 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.06 percent higher at 23,338 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.54 percent higher at 8,650.70 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.61 percent higher at 27,877 points.

Australia’s S&P ASX200 was trading around 0.66 percent higher at 5,709 marks.

China and South Korea’s banks will remain closed in observance of Lunar New Year.
