The “Assassin’s Creed” franchise has seen a lot of changes ever since “Assassin’s Creed: Origins” and “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey” continues this trend. The upcoming game has just released a new trailer showcasing the absolute beauty of ancient Greece. It was also recently announced that the game would be coming with a New Game Plus mode.
In a new clip uploaded to Ubisoft North America’s YouTube account, the developers showed off what players can expect from the newest “Assassin’s Creed” game. The video goes over the finer details of the game, from the period that players will be dropped into, to the scenes that fans of the franchise will see.
The developers also noted how they aimed to make Greece more colorful and vibrant to encourage the players to explore the new “Assassin’s Creed” title. The franchise has always been an open world property, but exploring the games have often felt more like a chore list. For “Odyssey,” Ubisoft wants to tap into the sense of wonder that games like “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” and “The Witcher 3” Wild Hunt” have easy access to.
To make the prospect of playing the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed” video game even more appealing, Ubisoft will also be throwing in a New Game Plus mode, Game Rant reports. This means that players will be able to start a new game after finishing their first playthrough with many of the items and abilities that they were able to unlock.
Many fans of the franchise have complained that the recent “Assassin’s Creed” games have completely transformed the series so much that it is now unrecognizable. However, there are also a lot of gamers who welcome the changes that Ubisoft has made with the games. When “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey” launches on Oct. 5, fans will see just how far the developers have taken the franchise yet again.
