DALLAS, May 25, 2016 -- Associa, the industry's largest community management company, makes a Memorial Day contribution to Snowball Express and encourages its Twitter followers to join the cause by referencing #AssociaRemembers. Snowball Express is an organization that serves the children of our fallen military heroes, especially during the holiday season.
The $5,000 donation was presented this week by Associa Founder and CEO John Carona and Senior Vice President of External Affairs Andrew Fortin at the Associa home office in Dallas, Texas.
"We make this donation on behalf of our employees and clients to show our immense appreciation for those who gave their lives for our country," said Carona, "Snowball Express is an incredible organization that works to provide a special holiday experience for the children of our fallen heroes and we are proud to be a part of that."
"We are truly blessed and honored to have Associa as our partner," says Snowball Express Executive Director Buck Kern. "Memorial Day is a day dedicated to honoring the memory of our fallen military heroes and remembering the sacrifice of their families. We are honored that the leadership and employees of Associa have decided to remember and honor our fallen by supporting Snowball Express. Mr. Carona and his team truly understand the meaning of Memorial Day, and this donation will make it possible for more families to attend our annual gathering, where children are inspired and lives are changed."
Snowball Express Chairman of the Board Bob Apetz added, "We are proud that Associa is standing alongside our presenting sponsor, American Airlines, to support our Gold Star families. These families have made and continue to make extraordinary sacrifices. Working with the team at Associa, we will be able to provide greater support to these families."
Mr. Fortin remarked, "Clearly there is no single act that can fully compensate these children and families for the sacrifice made by their mothers and fathers, but we hope that by encouraging folks to share their thanks, memories and stories of fallen heroes, we can help support the purpose and spirit of Memorial Day."
