CLEVELAND, Ga., March 17, 2016 -- The Cabbage Patch Kids want to inspire the appreciation of automobiles to children of all ages. Getting ready to celebrate the 28th Annual Cabbage Patch Kids Magical Easter Eggstravaganza on March 19, 2016, at BabyLand General Hospital, in Cleveland, Georgia, the Hospital staff encourage the 'Kids to check out new cars, antique and custom cars as well as meet Judges Tammy Ray, winner of the 2010 Detroit Autorama Ridler award.

Artist entrepreneur Xavier Roberts, creator of the Cabbage Patch Kids, continues to look for ways for families to share new interests and experiences together. Auto enthusiasts are encouraged to register and bring their car to this event (forms at websites below). Categories for judging include Best of Show, Best Engine and People's Choice.
Celebrity Judge Tammy Ray is ground breaking in her automotive contribution. She is the first female to win the prestigious Ridler Award for her customized 1933 Ford Phaeton named the Gold Digger. Co-owner of Crisson Gold Mines in Dahlonega, Ga., Ray's interest in hot rods started more than 25 years ago with her husband, Tony's '65 Falcon. Focused with determination and hard work, Ray faced all challenges with her comfortable humor. Surrounded by gold mining equipment and a tourist attraction, she found the balance for art and auto mechanics, accented with gold! The award celebrates creativity in building the car and must be the first time the auto is shown.
The trophies in keeping with the creative and artistic background of the Cabbage Patch Kids and their folk art roots, the hand-made Little People, will be handcrafted works of art by Gourdcraft Originals.
Lots of fun activities are scheduled on the grounds at BabyLand from a free 30,000 Egg Hunt, Easter Bonnet Contest, costumed characters, music, prizes all day, festival and activities, to a blooming spring garden at the Southern-style home of the Cabbage Patch Kids. Admission to BabyLand General Hospital is free. More event details at www.cabbagepatchkids.com.
This event is co-sponsored with the White County Chamber of Commerce.
