‘Azeroth’ In Ruins Even Before ‘Legion’ Came Out, Pre-Expansion Improvements

The “Legion” expansion pack for “World of Warcraft” is going to be released in North America in a matter of hours, but already, the most popular MMORPG in the world has seen major improvements in its mechanics with the pre-expansion patches. Even so, there is a lot riding on the coming of the demon invasion, which is about to hit an incredibly vulnerable “Azeroth.” With the factions in shambles, the question of who will stand in the way of the hellish armies is on everyone’s mind.

As Kotaku points out, the world of “Azeroth” has not been this unprepared to deal with a relentless, interdimensional, and powerful army of demons since “Warcraft 3.” Leaders are dead, alliances are crumbling, and the people’s salvation relies on magical McGuffins that no one knows how to find.

There’s no need to worry, however, as the true heroes of the game (the players) are on the case and they will use all of the new additions that the expansion brings to defeat the “Burning Legion.” One of these changes is the new “Demon Hunter” class, which should be quite useful when specifically hunting for demons. There are also so-called “artifact weapons,” which become more powerful as the characters become more powerful.

For players who are already on level 100 and are bored of mowing everything down, the “Broken Isles” will be a perfect place to start that grinding process again and reach even higher god-like status. They can increase their levels to a hefty 110, which will be handy in taking on the largest demon horde ever seen.

Thanks to the many improvements that the pre-expansion patches made on “World of Warcraft,” players have a much easier time of saving ‘Azeroth,” yet again. As VentureBeat reports, Blizzard has been providing plenty of content for players to chew on even to prepare for “Legion.”

These include bug fixes, invasion quests, and of course, the new “Demon Hunter” class, which was only available to certain players. The invasions were particularly lucrative for players because they could gain a lot of experience by participating.
