Before the weekend, ABC has released the male contestants who would be vying the heart of Rachel Lindsay, who will be the show’s latest “The Bachelorette.” But a more intriguing news is that Lindsay, whom viewers should be showing her road towards finding the love of her life in the upcoming season of the reality series, is reportedly engaged ahead of this season’s May 22 premiere. With previous “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” contestants, they remain mum on whether they have found the One.
In a conference call with reporters, Lindsay herself revealed the news, said E! Online. The Dallas attorney said, "I am very much so in love and very much so engaged. I am getting my happy ending!"
Lindsay, who is “The Bachelorette”’s first African-American rose bearer, is not the only different thing fans of the show should be expecting. According to host Chris Harrison, 31 suitors vying for Lindsay’s heart will make viewers feel that the show is “fresh and different.”
And boy, how right he is. When ABC released its list of 31 suitors early this week, social media was quick to point out the oddities of some of the contestants’ bios. News.com.au noted that “Jonathan,” 31 years old, is a "tickle monster" from Florida, although it was clarified that he is a doctor. 30 year-old Lucas, described his occupation as “whaboom,” of which Harrison said is "It's a lifestyle, it's an essence, it's who he is," although it is, as per Urban Dictionary, “[A] word to be used when just a simple 'Bam' would not provide the desired effect. A word used to convey the huge ramifications of several actions that lead the subject down a road to inevitable demise."
