Japanese gaming giant Bandai Namco accidentally spills secret details of their highly anticipated game, "Tekken 8," revealing a fresh addition to the game's fighter roster.
Bandai Namco admitted that it was responsible for the leak and immediately apologized for what happened. The company said it is also very disappointed with the premature reveal of the new character in "Tekken 8."
The game developer is known to disclose new character additions with a lot of care to bring more excitement to fans and gamers. Since releasing the first sequel of the popular fighting video game, Bandai Namco always makes sure to reveal each new fighter in one big announcement, a strategy that was already proven to heighten the anticipation of players for the upcoming release.
However, this time, Bandai Namco accidentally dropped the new information that gamers had been eager to know for months. It was not the right time and not on schedule, but the company announced through a live stream the past weekend that Bryan Fury has been added to the roster on "Tekken 8."
While the company quickly took down the video, most of the fans had already viewed it; thus, it was too late already. People have also disseminated the news, and the leaked info was posted on various forums and social media outlets. It could be said that the detail has spread like wildfire in the gaming community.
With that, the only thing that Bandai Namco could do was to issue an apology, as it felt bad for spoiling the "Tekken 8" release. "I apologize to the fans who saw that particular thing in not the way @Harada_TEKKEN and I had wanted it to happen. I feel bad for all you guys and also the dev team who gave up weekends to work on it :(" the game's producer, Michael Murray, tweeted.
Meanwhile, EventHubs reported that "Tekken 8" does not have a solid release date yet, but it is currently being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
