“Battlegrounds Mobile India” is nearing its official launch now that Krafton has opened pre-registration for the battle royale mobile game. However, there are several changes to expect, especially for players under the age of 18.
‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’: How to pre-register
Krafton announced on Tuesday that the “Battlegrounds Mobile India” pre-registration is live, but it appears that it is currently available via the Google Play Store only. While only Android players can join for now, the developer has not explicitly said the game will not release on other mobile platforms so it is also possible that access for iOS devices could be offered at a later time.
Pre-registration for “Battlegrounds Mobile India” is fairly simple that it can be done with just two steps. First, open the game’s Play Store page. Then, click the “Pre-Register” button to be able to play it as soon as it officially launches. The game is compatible with devices running on Android 5.1.1 or later and requires at least 2GB RAM.
Rewards await those who will pre-register. They will receive free Recon Mask, Recon Outfit, Celebration Expert Title, and 300 AG. These items will be automatically available to eligible players and can be claimed once “Battlegrounds Mobile India” is fully released.
‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ differences from global ‘PUBG Mobile’ to expect
One thing changing from “PUBG Mobile” is that characters will have full clothes on upon landing on “Battlegrounds Mobile India” maps instead of being just in their underwear. Meanwhile, reports do not expect Krafton to retain the player ID and achievements system in the upcoming game. The blood spatters animation might also be colored green by default.
Other tweaks in the upcoming game are age-related restrictions. While Play Store gives “Battlegrounds Mobile India” a 16+ rating, there extra requirements for players under 18. They have to register using the phone numbers of parents or legal guardians. Their daily playing time is restricted to three hours and can only purchase in-game items worth Rs 7,000 (~$95).
Based on the promotional images on Play Store, it appears that “Battlegrounds Mobile India” will look quite similar to the global version of “PUBG Mobile.” In some teasers, fans will find familiar terrain and building elements to existing maps like Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. But there is also a chance for these maps and specific areas to have different names in the actual game.
In Krafton’s official announcement, the few descriptions provided also suggest “Battlegrounds Mobile India” will offer similar basic gameplay features, along with its free-to-play model. The developer has mentioned “diverse maps” and “diverse modes,” including “squad-based” and “one-on-one” plays available once the game launches.
