Beeline Kazakhstan completed its $81 million purchase of OLX KZ, giving VEON another consumer-facing platform as the group pursues growth in digital services alongside connectivity.
The acquisition transferred all of OLX Group LLP, which operates the site in Kazakhstan, from OLX Global B.V. to Beeline Kazakhstan. VEON said the final consideration was $81 million, including about $6 million in closing adjustments. The parties announced the transaction Oct. 21, 2025, at an initial value of $75 million.
In a Nov. 6 filing, VEON described OLX KZ as having around 9 million monthly active users and said its reach spans more than 52% of people actively using the internet in Kazakhstan. Listings range from real estate and service offers to consumer goods and automotive items. The business reported revenue slightly above $28 million for the year ended March 2026.
VEON's third-quarter filing said the required regulatory approval had come through Oct. 20, while customary steps to close remained. The company later reported the purchase complete on Nov. 6.
VEON says it is growing digital services through its connectivity base. Its second-quarter 2026 results showed 227.7 million digital customers. Revenue from those services rose 53.6% from the year-earlier period and represented more than a quarter of group revenue. VEON also cited recent additions Uklon and Tabletki.ua in Ukraine and TPL Insurance in Pakistan.
OLX Group Chief Executive Christian Gisy said in 2025 the sale matched a strategy to “focus on core categories.” VEON's filing describes Beeline Kazakhstan as majority-owned by VEON. Kapital.kz separately reported Nov. 6 that Verny Capital described the purchase as its acquisition through Beeline Kazakhstan, which it called a portfolio company.
During the handover, OLX Group will provide IT services intended to keep the marketplace available to users. VEON's announcement does not specify how long that arrangement will last.
