Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner 2018: Divorce Negatively Affecting ‘Justice League’ Actor's Career? Claim Debunked

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced in 2015 that they were ending their marriage, but they have managed to maintain their friendship. In fact, the former couple is often seen on an outing with their kids and they even celebrate holidays like the 4th of July together.

Ben Affleck has also moved on from the split and is currently dating Emmy-award winning producer Lindsay Shookus. Life seems to be going well for the “Justice League” actor, but a tabloid recently reported that he is actually very worried that his divorce from Jennifer Garner is hurting his career.

Based on the report that appeared on The National Enquirer (via Gossip Cop), Ben Affleck is concerned that scandals such as his divorce, cheating allegations and alcohol addiction are creating a huge negative effect on his career as an actor. The tabloid even stated that the star is “terrified” that the public and producers are turned off by these bad stories written about him.

The paper wrote that his divorce from Jennifer Garner would probably hurt him the most because this may also lead to a custody battle over their three children. The actor reportedly thinks this will further damage his reputation, so he is worried.

Now, Gossip Cop looked into the facts stated in The National Enquirer report and deduced that its story about Ben Affleck is wrong. It pointed out that his divorce from Jennifer Garner could not be hurting his reputation because everyone already knows that he is on good terms with his ex-wife and they are co-parenting their kids despite not living in the same house.

Moreover, Ben Affleck has nothing to worry about things concerning his career because, in fact, he is one of the busiest actors in Hollywood today. He has projects lined up, like a directorial job for a Matt Damon movie, a film with Anne Hathaway for Netflix, titled “The Last Thing He Wanted,” and a sequel to “The Accountant,” as well as projects like “Triple Frontier” and “The Has-Been.” These projects clearly refute the claim that he is struggling to get work due to his divorce from Jennifer Garner.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet were rescued while on a trip in Stockholm, Sweden. The mother and daughter went kayaking but they got lost and ended up in a shipping line, People reported. Ben Affleck’s ex narrated the incident on her Instagram and thankfully, they were rescued by a man in the area.
