“Better Call Saul” season 5 is now being anticipated after season 4 concluded more than two weeks ago. The “Breaking Bad” spin-off ended with good reviews and fans can’t wait to see what will happen next after the fourth installment’s finale.
So, when is “Better Call Saul” season 5 coming? Everyone has been talking about this since the show was renewed even before season 4 premiered. In August, via a press release, AMC announced that it ordered another season of “Better Call Saul.”
However, AMC did not mention the exact date when it is releasing “Better Call Saul” season 5. There were also rumors that the upcoming installment is going to be the series’s final run but this is not confirmed as well.
But while it is still too early to know the season’s release date, it can be assumed that it will air in 2019. Bustle suggested that the months between February and August next year are likely since the past seasons had this same schedule too.
Now, for “Better Call Saul” season 5’s plot, showrunner Peter Gould shared that fans will see fiery developments in the flow of the story. He hinted that it is also possible that they will direct Saul's journey in the direction where it can touch “Breaking Bad” territory.
The previous season showed references to “Breaking Bad” after Lalo, a character from “BB,” was mentioned. The fact that the character was brought up could mean that season 4 was preparing for the crossover in “Better Call Saul” season 5.
“You never met him, but just the fact that we really get entwined with the “Breaking Bad” story I think is the same thing, the satisfaction of like we’re actually getting there,” Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy McGill) told Variety.
Meanwhile, “Better Call Saul” season 5 may be extended to 20 episodes instead of the usual 10. This installment is longer because it could be the last, The Independent reported.
