PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 06, 2017 -- Bigleaf Networks, the Cloud-first SD-WAN service that optimizes Internet and Cloud performance by dynamically choosing the best connection and adapting application prioritization in real-time, has announced an upgraded Cloud Access Network and a new speed package capable of supporting 1Gbps/1Gbps of bi-directional throughput.

This new speed package is enabled by Bigleaf’s recent investment in significant core infrastructure upgrades. The Bigleaf Cloud Access Network is now built on equipment with 100x the previous routing capacity. This upgraded network maintains full multi-datacenter geographic redundancy with a private backbone and direct peering to over 150 Cloud, Content, and Internet providers.
“With Bigleaf’s significant growth over the last year, the new Gigabit SD-WAN offering is well timed. Over the past few months, demand for Gigabit services from both the Bigleaf partner community and end-customers has picked up significantly,” Jeff Burchett, Co-founder and Vice President of Sales and Marketing said. “A year ago, we’d get asked about Gigabit service maybe once a quarter. We’ve now had five requests in the last two weeks. The demand is very real and picking up momentum quickly.”
“We’re excited to release this new service package at the same time as scaling up our core infrastructure,” said Joel Mulkey, Founder and CEO. “This upgrade demonstrates both our desire to meet customer demand, and our commitment to providing a highly-reliable, high-performance platform that customers can rely on for their critical business needs.”
