“Blacklist” Season 6 is now officially underway as Amir Arison, one of the stars of the show, tweeted that the script is now being written, CarterMatt reported. While the title of the script has been blackened out, it’s safe to say that it’s the name of a certain character, as what has been observed in the past.
“Blacklist” Season 6 is going to be the most dynamic yet as the previous season ended up revealing a major plot twist. Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) uncovered that the man he’s working with, Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader), isn’t what he portrays himself to be.
Keen has been working with Red for five years now, trying to bring in the most wanted fugitives in the world, from spies and mobsters to international terrorists. But all this time Red has been nothing more than an impostor and the real Raymond Reddington has been dead for years. Who Red truly is will be revealed in “Blacklist” Season 6.
As of now, the air date for “Blacklist” Season 6 has yet to be released, but filming usually lasts a little over nine months, so it’s certain fans will have to wait until 2019. While the show had an explosive first season ratings-wise, it has since experienced a decline in audience viewing, ranking seventh among NBC’s dramas.
Still, “Blacklist” Season 6 is expected to make big waves now that Red is going to undergo a major character transformation. What that transformation will be remains to be seen.
If you’re one of those fans who can’t wait for “Blacklist” Season 6, there are a lot of theories out there offered by other hardcore followers of the show. Jon Bokenkamp, one of the creators of the show, even said that he’s looking at some of these theories and saying some of them “actually track.” Who knows, maybe one of them managed to correctly predict what the show writers are planning.
