“Overwatch” is only a few months old, so it’s only to be expected that it’s going to come with a few bugs and glitches. Once this occurs, all “Blizzard” has to do is identify the problem and then fix it. However, players have found a way to take advantage of a certain glitch that allowed them to wreck the match in order to avoid getting beaten. Another problem with the game has to do with its “Competitive Play” mode, wherein players are getting penalized unfairly.
The glitch in question, according to Tech Times, has to do with certain characters and certain actions done with those characters while in the game. Players have been using this glitch for several weeks now, crashing the game in progress once it starts going south for them.
Perhaps this development isn’t at all that surprising, considering the fact that rankings have become incredibly important for players. Once they lose, they drop down a rank, and some players are just not comfortable with that. As such, it’s no wonder that some would resort to using a game-breaking glitch in order to make sure that their records remain untarnished.
Unfortunately for these players, “Blizzard” has a severe policy when it comes to these types of players and they are going to ban cheaters permanently if they are caught in the process. The company is serious about preserving fairness and balance in the matches simply because it’s a huge factor in making sure that “Overwatch” is as sustainable as possible.
In related news, Gamespot reports that players are getting unfairly penalized when they get disconnected from a match even when they can reconnect in time. This is a big deal for players because a penalty affects their skills and whether or not they win a match. Since “Overwatch” is an online game, perhaps it’s only right that “Blizzard” expect accidental disconnections.
