BOCA RATON, Fla., March 28, 2018 -- Boca West Children’s Foundation has donated more than $5 million to support 25 South Florida charities serving children in need.
Based in Boca Raton, Boca West Children’s Foundation’s mission is to create and fund programs assisting children in need. These projects include providing diapers, childcare, beds and bedding, medical and dental care, academic tutoring, after school programs, as well human trafficking prevention and recovery, and more. The Foundation’s grants fund these specific initiatives, as opposed to going into general funds.
Boca West Children’s Foundation raises money through private grants, corporate sponsorships, and donations, as well as through unique charity events that directly benefit the charities.
The Foundation’s community events are among the most popular things to do in South Florida. The “Battle for the Kids Foundation Days” includes a $200,000 Golf Challenge on April 9 and a Concert for the Children featuring a “Battle of the Bands: Chicago vs. Billy Joel” on April 10 at Boca West Country Club. All charity event tickets sold directly benefit the participating charities.
Funds raised will benefit children in need and their families in Palm Beach County. Each day, Boca West Children’s Foundation serves more than 5,000 children. Its volunteers give 45,000 hours of their time annually to the 25 charities with which the organization works.
