Will Gearbox reveal “Borderlands 3” during the upcoming PAX East event? This seems to be a question that is almost causing the internet to burst in anticipation. However, with past events reinforcing the concept of “to err on the side of caution,” it is worth pointing out that nothing official has been announced. There is every possibility that Gearbox will disappoint during that day and gloss over the game altogether.
As publications like PC Gamer notes, Gearbox is expected to unveil a huge game on PAX East and practically everyone is expecting it to be “Borderlands 3.” A huge part of the reason why folks actually believe this is via a process of elimination, with the game being the only one that makes sense. In a way, this is exactly the case.
It was already announced before that “Borderlands 3” exists and that it is in development. Some teaser clips and images about the game have already been released, so fans cannot claim to be surprised if it does make an appearance at PAX East. However, this expectation that it is definitely going to be the game that Gearbox is expected to unveil during the event could lead to nothing but disappointment.
Another game that could be revealed during the event is the next “BioShock” title that is also in development. Many are arguing that this seems unlikely since more details about “Borderlands 3” have been revealed than that of the mystery title. Even so, are the chances of it being the next underwater or sky city adventure really worse than it is the next space shooter?
At this point, only time will tell if “Borderlands 3” will really be revealed in PAX East or some other game entirely. For those interested, Gearbox will be hosting its panel during the event on March 28.
