As was the case with the previous episode, “Boruto” Episode 68 is still going to be a filler experience for the show. It doesn’t mean that there aren’t going to be some fun aspects, however, since this episode might feature Chōchō Akimichi’s first kiss. What’s more, it’s going to be done live on camera and with quite the handsome fellow. Beware of spoilers below.
Despite risking sounding like a tabloid piece, there is a good reason for why Chōchō might end up getting her first kiss in “Boruto” Episode 68. Those who watched the previous episode will know that her team was assigned to protect a pair of famous acting performers. During the mission, they were attacked, and one of the actors was injured. As a result, Chōchō will be asked to take her place in a drama, Vostory reports.
Now, for those who haven’t seen the episode and are wondering why Chōchō would be chosen, it’s because she can turn herself into a great beauty. Just like her dad, she could use the Butterfly technique, which slims her down significantly. She can use it more freely and with ease, as well, which just shows how talented she is, The Anime Scrolls notes. She retains the look in “Boruto” Episode 68.
Considering her personality, Chōchō is more than happy to take on the part for the potential kiss with the actor Tomaru alone. She does end up feeling quite nervous, however, and the preview clip for “Boruto” Episode 68 hints that things are about to get more complicated.
Based on the scene near the end, the effects of Chōchō’s Butterfly technique might have worn off, thus resulting in the return of her original form. It would appear to have been right before the kiss scene, as well, so she might retain her virtue after all. Viewers will only have to wait and see for “Boruto” Episode 68 to air on August 9.
