Just as “Boruto's” last episode wrapped up the Chocho arc, fans of the anime can look forward to “Boruto” episode 70 starting a new story arc for Boruto's companions. In the episode's preview trailer, Team 5's Metal Lee takes center stage in what seems to be his very own story arc. The preview trailer teases that Metal Lee's biggest enemy in the upcoming arc will be his own personal anxiety.
Fans of Naruto as well will be surprised to see Might Guy making a comeback in “Boruto” episode 70. From what can be understood from the preview, Metal Lee will undergo training under Might Guy to further learn the secrets of Taijutsu – a technique that Might Guy is a known master. While having Might Guy be in charge of Metal Lee's training due to his mastery of Taijutsu is a given, Might Guy's own handicap may make the training a bit more challenging than expected.
It would be interesting to see how Might Guy will go about training Metal Lee in “Boruto” episode 70 considering that Might Guy is already confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life due to his and Naruto's battle with Madara in their younger years. Coupled with Metal Lee's own personal anxiety, Might Guy has a long challenge ahead of him to whip Metal Lee into shape.
Fans of the original series may find it amusing to note that Might Guy has appeared not to age since appearing in "Naruto." While this could simply be the artists focusing on making the former character recognizable, there could also be an in-plot reason for Might Guy's lack of aging in “Boruto” episode 70.
Fans can only hope that the first episode in Metal Lee's character arc sets a good stage for the young Lee clan genin's story arc episodes after episode 70. Those interested in the upcoming character arc for Metal Lee can look forward to “Boruto” episode 70 airing today, Aug. 23. The show can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
