“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71 is probably going to be a laid-back but meaningful installment. Onoki is likely returning armed with lessons from the past for the younger generations of ninja. Meanwhile, there is a rumor that Tsunade could also appear in the next episode.
The preview for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71 is mainly focused on the appearance of Onoki. According to the video teaser, Onoki arrives in the Hidden Leaf Village and comes across the young ninjas.
While some of the youngsters likely do not recognize Onoki at first, they will soon realize that they are facing “Onoki the Fence-Sitter” and the “hero of the Great Ninja War.” In the previous episodes, Boruto was seen struggling to resolve what he really wants to be as a ninja. And Onoki’s arrival in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71 happens in perfect timing.
Onoki’s return is confirmed but some reports speculate that Tsunade might also appear as a surprise in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71. But even with Onoki alone, the younger generation of ninjas are definitely in for some meaningful history lessons.
Meanwhile, Onoki’s arrival coincides the Five Kage Summit but he is obviously not in the village for that meeting. In the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71 preview, Onoki even said he does not care about the Five Kage Summit.
For now, it looks like Onoki’s arrival in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71 is plainly just to spend time with the next generation of ninjas. It also makes sense that he has nothing to do with the Five Kage Summit since he has already been replaced by her granddaughter, Kurotsuchi, who became the Fourth Tsuchikage.
Onoki will be spending time with the younger ninjas in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71. In between the speculated meaningful lessons from the former Tsuchikage, Onoki and the ninja trainees are going to stroll around the village and make a stop at “a dumpling shop.” “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 71 airs on Thursday, Aug. 30.
