The title of “Boruto” Episode 86 has been leaked and it got fans groaning at the possible avenue that the story might explore. Called “Kozuchi's Will,” the episode will likely delve into the life of Kozuchi, Onoki’s grandson who died at the age of 12.
While nothing has been confirmed just yet, the fact that Kozuchi is the main title of “Boruto” Episode 86 is enough evidence that another flashback will be employed. And this is what fans don’t want. So far, the Mitsuki arc has been dragged by the show so hard that a lot of audiences are losing interest.
However, the upcoming “Boruto” Episode 85 might provide some spice to the stale narrative as Konohamaru is expected to make a major decision. The jonin has been sent to retrieve Mitsuki from Iwagakure but was specifically instructed to do so covertly. The secrecy is due to the fact that their faction has no permission to enter the Hidden Stone Village and Konohamaru getting captured might result in democratic complications. Hopefully, “Boruto” Episode 86 won’t focus all its attention on Kozuchi and move the story at a considerable pace.
Right now, Boruto and Onoki are trapped at the Sanzu Plains and they need to find the Heart Stone in order to escape the forgotten training area. Onoki explained that to be able to find the stone, one must train extensively within its confines. The journey – the former Tsuchikage elaborated – will be the determining factor that would allow a seeker to find the Heart Stone. It’s expected that when “Boruto” Episode 86 airs, Boruto and Onoki may already have broken free of the Plains.
Meanwhile, the Ku and the rest of the Synthetics are still biding their time and are waiting for the right opportunity to strike. The last episode saw most of its members conversing about their own perceptions of how a human behaves. Their conversation even strayed as far as the human soul, a complicated subject that all of them are eager to learn. As for when “Boruto” Episode 86 will air, it’s scheduled for release on Dec. 16 on KissAnime and Dec. 18 on Crunchyroll.
