The narratives about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are still being pushed by gossip columns despite the fact that the claim has been debunked multiple times. In a recent cover story of OK! Australia (via Gossip Cop), the tabloid claims that the ex-couple is giving their past romance a “second try.”
But given how Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston decided to part ways, this narrative is a clearly false one. While the ex-couple enjoyed a five-year marriage, it seems that those times of being together weren’t particularly full of smiles and rainbows, more so for the “Troy” actor.
In his own words, Brad Pitt said that he did a lot of damage to himself during the time he was married to Jennifer Aniston by succumbing to his drug addiction.
This revelation alone is enough evidence that the possibility of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston getting back together is non-existent by now. In fact, according to Portia de Rossi – a close friend of Aniston – the ex-couple haven’t even seen each other after they split 13 years ago.
That is quite a long time of being apart given that both celebrities are moving within the same industry. There are a lot of events and galas in which the two could’ve run into each other but didn't. This implies that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are purposely avoiding each other. And seeing how they parted, the decision isn’t surprising.
Those words from Brad Pitt aren’t easily forgotten or forgiven, especially given the fact that Jennifer Aniston was willing to mend their relationship when it started to crumble back then. What’s more, after they broke up, the “World War Z” star was immediately seen with Angelina Jolie enjoying a romantic date at a resort in Africa.
Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie started dating amidst the actor’s divorce case with Jennifer Aniston, the public couldn’t help but think there was some infidelity involved in the separation. And the immediacy with which Pitt seemed to have moved on heavily suggests this.
Indeed, even Jennifer Aniston admitted that she was “shocked” at how quickly Brad Pitt seemed to have moved on from their five-year marriage. These are but some of the many factors that shoot down the possibility of the ex-couple trying to rekindle their past romance.
